The following is the process that takes place when you use our services
Med Access Medical Case Management Process
Each Case is managed by a dedicated Case Manager
This innovative and patient-centric case management process helps Med Access in achieving best treatment outcomes and ensuring great patient experience
1. Before the patient travels to India for treatment:
- After receiving patient’s medical history and reports:
- Case is reviewed by Med Access in-house doctors’ panel.
- Shortlist the best doctor for the case and seeks opinions:
- Med Access in-house panel of doctors review the case, give their opinion and shortlist the doctors from the pool of carefully selected doctors
- Med Access seeks two expert opinions based on the complexity of the case
- Med Access reverts to the patient with tentative diagnosis, treatment plan, doctor’s detail profiles and all inclusive cost estimates
- Patient can speak /SKYPE with the shortlisted doctors
- Complete assistance with visa and other logistics:
- On receiving confirmation from the patient, Med Access sends letter of invitation for a visa
2. When the patient arrives in India:
On arrival in India, patient is received by the Med Access Case Manager, patient stays in the apartment till the diagnosis and treatment plan is confirmed
- Establish Correct Diagnosis and Treatment Plan through multiple expert opinion approach:
- First consultation with the selected doctor is arranged
- All prescribed investigations are done on OPD basis from the carefully selected Labs and diagnostic centres and reports collected.
- Second consultation with the doctor with all the reports is arranged and he provides his opinion on diagnosis , treatment plan and cost estimates
- Depending on the complexity of the case, one or two more expert opinions are sought to confirm the diagnosis and treatment plan by consensus.
- Doctor is finalized and Hospital is finalized in consultation with the Doctor.
- The doctor and hospital are finalized and the patient is admitted in the hospital
- Total monitoring and coordination of the treatment in the hospital by Med Access Case Manager
- constantly remain in touch with the treating doctors and monitor the process on a day to day basis including the surgery and the post-surgery in order to ensure the treatment is as per the plan.
- complete all admission and discharge formalities
- Accompany the patient for follow-up visit
- Complete financial monitoring by Med Access to keep the cost on track
· Managing treatment on OPD basis, Investigations and scans done on OPD basis, controlling the number of days stay in the hospital and close monitoring and coordination helps in controlling the costs and meeting the budget
